You do realise that AIM is the largest active IM network currently, that is why people use iChat and Apple make it.

I think if Apple gets the 6G iPod to the market before Argo, MS is dead in the water. People aren't going to buy an Argo after shelling out $300-400 for an iPod. Also once everyone sees their friends with the new iPod they wont want anything else. We all know Apple has done wonders making their player an icon.
I think DRM will kill the Argo as well.

I agree with you 100%. I bought pages thinking it could replace MS Word after seeing Jobs demo at MacWorld a couple of years ago.

What's so great about the rating arrows is you can tell who's got the balls to share honestly, versus the suck ups with high positive ratings for being perfect yes men.

I know you love your iPod and all (I am very fond of mine myself), but over the last few years Apple has been focusing a dispropotional amount of energy into their cute little gadget which has massively boosted their profits. For those of us that don't salivate over all things iPod, I think this is too bad.

Usually, when a new technology comes out from Apple like Thunderbolt, (mini display port in look a like), I usually think "Why would other "non" Apple manufactures like WD, Promise etc... adopt Thunderbolt? as USB 3.0 or eSATA is their bracket... where as Apple likes to keep to themselves only tailoring to their own devices (eg. using WDS (or extenting wireless via Airport Express), for example. is not possible unless you have Time Capsule (Apple) )

In a physical sense, weight loss is simple. Burn more calories than you consume. Keeping it off means burning the same amount of calories you consume. Eating certain foods (ex broccoli, tea, DARK chocolate) have beneficial effects and are proven to increase the metabolism. Yes, the mechanics behind it are easy.
Which was my point. The problem with going beyond the mechanics in broad discussions like this is that every individual is different, but every individual's weight control comes down to the same basic mechanic.
I'd rather leave it to individuals themselves to work out what isn't working in their caloric balance, because in the end, they are the best placed to do that.

With that said, you have to see obesity as a problem with multiple causes and that there is almost always an underlying cause (ex: people eat more when they are depressed). And I've said as much with my last posts. For morbid obesity, there's almost always something non-physical behind it which over the years has turned into physical disability. It's a "choice" in a sense, the choice to not fix the underlying issue. The thing with obesity is that it can stem from the same issues that brings alcoholism, gambling or drug abuse.
Most importantly, obesity will grow in both prevalence and level of negative effects until a holistic system of living healthy becomes standardized, which thus far, has not occurred to the level needed to start to lower obesity rates. Obesity is both a physical and psychological condition, and I would argue it is also a disease.
There is one interesting point I haven't brought up. For the US at least, there is one outside factor that is not 100% under the individual's control. The Corn Industry. When rats are drinking high-fructose corn syrup at levels well below those in soda pop, they're becoming obese -- every single one, across the board. Even when rats are fed a high-fat diet, you don't see this; they don't all gain extra weight."

McDonald's addiction ? Look no further than this. On the other hand, you go to Subway, eat a 6 inch sandwich and a chip, which is about the same quantity of food, you get only 2/3rds the calories and you don't feel hunger until you're ready for a late afternoon snack.

this is APPLE we are talking about. nothing is free and nothing is cheap.
No one is expecting it to be free, but there better be more than what can be done for less. Apple likes to throw stuff and hope fanboys will pay without question. I am all for paying but not if there is nothing there but what other are offering for less or even free.
Reminds me of the New York Times and wanting payed subscription. Sure I will pay if there is benefit like them actually doing news and not just copy paste stories. You want my money you have to offer me real quality and substance as I figure most who are not from the Apple fanboys club will agree. :rolleyes:

i just finished installing xp sp2 on vmware works fine....
just under device manager it tells me one unregonised hardware....the video card... any1 knows how to solve this?
