I recently rejoined. I haven't folded for a very long time but my mac pro is folding again during the days. We need to get this team going again. :D

Walt Mossberg wrote a very interesting article in the Wall Street Journal about 2 weeks ago in which he said independent research had noted that 19% of all college students now use a Mac. That number is expected to grow leaps and bounds by this time next year.

Would be nice if apple allowed you to charge the mouse via USB like the RadTech BT600 http://www.radtech.us/Products/BT600.aspx.
I got one of these to replace my MightyMouse and single button apple bluetooth mouse. Been using it with my macbook and its fantastic.

It would be interesting if they provided the parts to other manufacturers for "comes with Apple tv" TVs. The only time they've done something like that though is the Motorola ROKR with iTunes built in and that didn't work out very well at all.
I can't imagine them selling an Apple-branded TV unless they decide to integrate Apple TVs into the cinema displays? But it seems like most people are buying 40-60" TVs these days and Apple only sells 27" displays now.

Will an apple store employee tell me if I harass them all day or bribe them with monies? Or don't they know either?
More times than not they don't really know in advance. If it is tomorrow, I'm sure a few employees might know who stay with the night crew to set up but they are pretty good at keeping they're lips sealed. Someone I used to work with now works part time at a store I'm gonna see if I can contact him and see if he knows anything.

good job everyone, including plutonius and appleguy
now it is basically one spanking new 6-villagers game, starting tonight, with one wolf, one seer and likely one hunter.
with a twist: both the seer and the hunter could also be the wolf.
everyone is suspect.
make it a short night guys, see you all tomorrowUmmm, I'm not sure this game is over yet... there's still an infected Villager out there...

Anyone else find it odd the way jav has been acting?
Pot meet kettle.
im gonna follow with ucfgrad and throw -aggie- out there
Wow, maybe theres something to Appleguys theory about you.
Anyway, Im going into the hospital tomorrow morning and Im not sure when Ill be posting again. So, Ill just leave it at:
The village would be making a HUGE mistake to vote me off, if it comes to that. One of these two, Eldiablowjoe or nies without the bun is probably a WW.

Nothing else really.
Why don't you pick up the real Eames Aluminum Management chair?
I bought one for the office and it's extremely nice and comfortable. It's def a show-stopper when people enter.

Cool!
I wonder if this is part of the labels' strategy to take power away from iTunes.

whats not to say someone just changed the carrier name? I don't own an iphone but I did search and its totally possible.
I don't see a reason apple would need to create an iPhone for T-Mobile if the AT&T plan goes through. If it's rejected than maybe thats a reason then to possibly go on T-Mobile.

Id love to see a new standard for "HD". 1440p would be nice...but current media would have to catch up. That said, I dont think Apple could make a cost effective television. Sorry, but theyd sell a 42inch TV for 2000.000 easy.
Are you kidding Sony sells that Apple would make it a unibody aluminum tv and price it 5000 easy.
It would sport of course Airplay and Retinal on a 60" model in other words 4K TV for the masses. :-P

Once you get over the delusion of Macs running iOS apps, the Apple TV 2 makes the most sense.

I am going with either universal apps for iOS and Mac or appletv. Nothing else makes sense.
Wishing it was the :apple: Console that I have in my head, but that may be a little further out.

If you're alluding to the theory that Apple took it out to 'differentiate' it from the macbook pro's, I still don't get that concept.
I mean, if you want to differentiate your higher end products from the lower end ones, you ADD features to the higher end one. You DON'T remove features that were once standard for years on the lower end machine.
***It's like if Ford all the sudden removed air conditioning on all but their high end cars - saying that's a 'luxary' feature for their high end vehicles. We'd ALL cry BULL.....!!! Same thing has happened with the MBA.
Or Apple realized most people don't need a backlit keyboard? I honestly don't see a need for one, and I'm guessing most users don't need it. So it was probably a easy option to axe for either space or battery life. Don't expect it to return.

Fair enough, not fact but a blatantly obvious observation which by no means is false, as others have agreed. It may be difficult for you to put things in perspective, perhaps due to the strong emotion after watching what unfolded.
How can you be sure of that? And you're calling me out on applying the word "fact"? Quite ironic.
I seem to have hit a nerve for pointing it out as not genuine, my initial post wasn't even focused on that specific point, but the other poster appeared to be profoundly upset with my reasoning.
No- you hit a nerve when you tried to claim speculation as fact. That annoys me more than anything.

Yah know the interesting thing? Until now you had to compare Apple against the entire industry. e.g. Apple vs. (Dell+gateway+Sony+HP+Toshiba+Comcrap+Alienware+Falcon Computers+etx.)
Now that Apple can run Windows Oranges to oranges can be compared. Until you start talking about OS's in which case you are back to talking Apples to Oranges.
Apple migration to Intel has created a disturbance in the force.
PS- I do Dell warrantee work. I can't tell you how many people cock there head when I pull out my MBP to look at laptop pull apart manuals. And even more who start asking questions when they see I'm running Windows. Heheh. I feel like PT Barnum. :)
is this 4.8% for the quarter or 4.8% total market share? if the former, nice, but no big deal; if the latter then very big deal.
I don't even need to look at the article to know its total. Apple doesn't have the manufacturing and distribution channels to increase their market share by 4% in a quarter. Hell I don't think Dell has that kind of force either.
