One of my friend is ready to apply for 485. He is all set.
The problem is he got recently married and his wife's passport and other details are not yet ready and she is still in India.
Can he still submit his 485 for his wife?
Gurus, any help / suggestions is appreciated.
If you just search on word 'wife' you will get the response from thousands of users who posted it. He cannot file 485 for his wife until she is here.

this is an attorney question. also this forum is for employment based green card issues. please check with ur attorney.
Can you please help me figure out how to calculate the eligibility for citizenship. If one married a US citizen. Obtained conditional residency, the temporary green card, then forgot to apply to remove conditions. So re-applied for green card, and was granted. The parties have been married 5 years. Will the initial 2 years spent as a conditional resident count towards the 3 years for the citizenship? Again, I want to stress out that after the initial 2 years in conditional permanent residency, forgot to remove conditions, and a new application for green card was needed. However this time the permanent green card was given. Or will she have to wait another 3 years from now on with the permanent green card until applying for the citizenship?

We had a 8 hr long meeting with a lobbying firm right on the Capitol hill. The meeting progressed very well. We came out with a wealth of information. This firm seems to have the right contacts and connections. I am creating a pointwise document the people in this firm promised and were confident to achieve. Just to let you know we have Labor Backlog centers and Retrogression on our agenda.

Unfortunately, looks like it does not matter what visa is being sought. My wife applied for H4 with PhD in Pharmaceutics.

I got AP..and H1B till 09..I am hoping to reenter using AP while comming back from india..Apart from AP do I require anything else. like employement letter to reenter the contry??..

"h", and stating "Spouse has an approved I-140"
Since I am filing as dependent. Should it be "b" " my spouse or parent applied for adjustment..."
Does it hurt to choose "h"? Thanks!!
If you are a dependent, you should probably choose (b). I chose (b) for my dependent wife, which is what my attorney recommended. Don't know about (h), but why complicate matters?

I have never been to the meeting but will like to attend one if scheduled in future. i think its high time our Chapter schedule meeting with Senators/Congressmen in this area including MD, VA and DC. The President has started the immigration reform initiative and it is right time to make the lawmakers aware of our EB issues. Let me know your thoughts.
